Des, a local Gulgong identity, has worked with many well known artists throughout his career, has enjoyed performing and entertaining an audience and has played in many venues, including music halls, on stage, television and clubs throughout NSW.

He has attended numerous festivals including Tamworth Country Festival, performed in schools in Miami, USA and has had his own Australian show ‘Tales of the Swag’ for the past 10 years. Des has played in dance bands for a number of years, singing country ballads and folk music.

He is an award winning poet.

The instruments he plays are guitar, banjo, didgeridoo and harmonica – not all at once – and Des still enjoys music of all kinds.
